With Workout Companion, you time your routine, sets, repetitions and pauses in between exactly without the need to tap anything on the phone between the sets. Just look at the phone and remember the number the app shows. Then start your set when the number comes along again. Easy and effective to time the set pauses for your muscles exactly. The green quad helps you maintain the 313 strategy for maximized muscle gain.

Detailed description:
You start and end your workout routine in the toolbar (the three little dots), where you also find the settings and where you can view the previous routines. You should have direct sight to your phone during the whole exercise to stick to your exact pausing duration between the sets. I usually make 12 repetitions per set, then pause and repeat, then further in this fashion until 3 sets are over I change to another equipment.
During the sets, you see a green quad going round the screen. It goes vertical for 3 seconds and horizontal for 1 second. This corresponds to the 313 training strategy to maximize muscle gain:
You lift the weight 3 seconds, hold 1 second and lower for 3 seconds.
Other strategies will be coded in in the future.
There are four buttons on the top of the screen: (play), (pause), (stop), (exercise)
(Play) starts a new set of an exercise. The duration for the set is seen on the second number line. When you make a muscle relaxation pause during the sets, you look on the displays big number and remember it. When you see it again, you have to start the new set. This way, your muscles will have the perfect exhaustion state when being challenged again. I usually do seven 3 sets with 40 seconds relaxation on one exercise equipment.
(Pause) is only for times, when you have to interrupt the set, like an unexpected, but important chat with your fellow athlete or the like.
When your exercise is over, you press (stop). When ready to start, you press (play). The last number represents your overall duration of the routine. I usually do 40 minutes or so. Overtraining reduces muscle gain!
When ending your training for the day, you go into the toolbar and press "End Routine".
You can note the type of exercise via the button (exercise) after the routine or while changing your exercise equipment during the routine.
There you can also enter your own custom exercises, which are not listed yet in the app.
You may also enter the weight of the exercise and the repetition number per set. You can also manage plans, so routines are filled out automatically when you redo the same workout.
