Animals origami is a popular choice of origami. They're fun to fold, and it's really cool to see them start to take shape and look like their real counterparts. There are instructions for different origami animals, so just choose your favorite one and start folding.

Step 1: Start with a square sheet of origami paper with the colored side down. If you only have plain rectangular paper, follow the instructions for making origami paper. Step 2: Simply fold the bottom half up to the top, making sure the edges match, then unfold. Step 3: Fold the top and bottom edges to meet in the center.

Animal origami is probably the most common thing people fold out of paper. Instead of just doing posts with random origami animals, I'm going to group them into topics. This post will focus on African animals like elephants, lions, giraffes and more.
