คณะกรรมการกิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ หรือ กสทช. ได้ทำการพัฒนาซอฟต์แวร์ทดสอบความเร็วอินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านโครงข่ายโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่(NBTC speedtest) เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลใช้งานจริงจากผู้บริโภค เพื่อนำข้อมูลไปวิเคราะห์และประมวลผลให้เห็นถึงคุณภาพบริการ เพื่อดูแลและพัฒนาให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดแก่ผู้บริโภคต่อไป
