Studying for exams has got be one of the biggest demands on your time when you're in college or high school and performing on those exams can make or break you. With so much pressure to do well on exams I have to ask the question do we really need to study that hard to get good grades? If you're not a good test taker or you struggle with studying then this app is for you. The main focus of this explain is to learn how to study for exams using four easy to comprehend strategies. These strategies are designed to assist you in becoming more effective at getting good grades.
So lets take a look at these four strategies.
1. Study when you are at your best.
Everyone for the most part understands when their most productive time is throughout the day. For me it was at night between 6pm and midnight. It would have been a waste of time for me to study in the morning because I would not have retained the material because I function best at night. Understand how you operate and then do your work during that time.
2. Study your hardest material when your fresh.
Similar to my last strategy. Leave the hard stuff for when you are at your best. That is when you should be studying the hardest material. On the flip side of that leave the easier material for those other times where your focus isn't at its best.
3. Don't get too comfortable in your study chair.
The purpose is to avoid falling asleep or putting off studying in favor of napping. Being too comfortable can lead to both. Not to mention a chair that is too comfortable may trigger a scarcity in your focus. When learning you should be relaxed in order to stay focused but again we don't want to be so relaxed we lose focus.
4. Do not drink a lot of caffeine.
We know it goes against every fiber of your being. I said a lot of caffeine I did not say any. Now a good idea is to drink plenty of water especially if you feel sluggish or get the caffeine shakes. Consuming a lot of caffeine is going to elevate your stress levels.
