Chamber of Labor

The audio-guided shopping tour is part of the “Working World & School” offer, a project of the AK Vienna and the Austrian Trade Union Confederation. It combines consumer education with direct experiences in a situation that is familiar to the students - shopping.

In a five-hour workshop at the AK Vienna, pupils from the ninth grade onwards receive a wide range of information and suggestions on the topic of “shopping” using experience-oriented methods. Shopping is part of the students’ everyday lives. Part of this workshop consists of the students being accompanied with audio texts during this usual process and thus taking a critical look at the psychological, social and economic backgrounds of consumption.
