The discourse about 20 rakaat tarawih prayers is indeed an outdated discourse for some people. However, for nahdliyin residents in certain places, insight into the arguments for why tarawih prayers are performed with 20 rak'ahs is clearly very necessary. Because it cannot be denied, that there are still many opposing parties, always attacking and cornering those who are used to performing tarawih prayers with 20 rak'ahs.

For ordinary people, when they are attacked, their reasons are questioned, generally they are only stunned, and the saddest thing is, they change direction and no longer perform the 20 rakaat tarawih prayers.

Departing from a sense of concern over cases like that, apart from the fact that at that time it was assigned by the elders of PC NU Kab. Bandung, the author does everything in his power to help equip the nahdliyin people to be able to defend their amaliyah arguments, so that they become more confident in what they have done and have become accustomed to, without needing to hesitate even though they are attacked by various questions from various parties.

As a result, we hope that this short treatise will be useful, especially for Nahdliyin residents, as well as for other members of the general public who are interested in understanding the amaliyah of Nahdliyin residents.
