Annarita Vitali Born in Bologna on 17/02/51. After the classical high school he enrolled in the DAMS where he graduated in History of Art in 1974 doing a thesis in urban planning with Prof. Cervellati, perhaps the only architect in the world who brilliantly placed the conservation of the urban heritage and its requalification to the disharmonic expansion or worse if possible to the demolition of the urban landscape.

"The conservation and evocation of the past, the history of what has been, especially in the small traces of human life, always exert a profound attraction on her". After a collaboration with the Modern Art gallery on the occasion of its opening where he collaborated on biographies of painters such as Pizzirani, Fiori, and the Saetti exhibition and a previous collaboration with the Artistic Events Authority, he began a fortuitous activity in the field of bijoux that soon it became a real small company with internal and external employees.

This is the story of Annarita Vitali and of her recovery activity of an old warehouse from which she obtained the vintage materials for her creations:

Annarita Vitali, graduated in Urban Planning with Architect Cervellati, who has always been active in the recovery of historic centers, he pursued, working on his own, after a collaboration with the Artistic Events Organization and the modern art gallery, of recovery, aimed at the jewel and its creation.

Everything stems from the purchase of the old "Furlanetto" warehouse.Founded in 1925, taken over with all the ancient materials, and revived with the artistic creations of Annarita Vitali in 1998.The company, founded by Romeo Furlanetto in 1925, produced fashion accessories, sold internationally, and collaborated with important designers, including Valentino, Chanel and Balenciaga, of whom he was the distributor for Italy...to name a few.At the early death of Romeo Furlanetto, his wife Maria took over, a Calestani from Casalmaggiore.

Here was the site of the oldest and most important production of jewels, called 'mad gold', as they are not entirely precious, starting from the second half of the 19th century.

It was in fact here that gold-plated was invented, a foil precisely gold-plated, which was enormously successful all over the world.

The industries that produced accessories, but not only, joined together, continuing the activity until the 1970s.

All would have been lost if the museum of bijoux had not been created in 1998, which tells the story of the evolution of bijoux with over thirty thousand pieces, which follows the evolution of the historical period and its trends very quickly.

Just in 1998, at the closure of the Furlanetto company in Bologna, Annarita Vitali, after two years of cataloging the materials, began producing unique pieces with period materials, precisely those purchased from the aforementioned company.

Unique themed pieces are created in an early 1900s villa, all rigorously made with period materials.

These are thematic jewels, since precisely from the materials and their historicization, recurring themes emerge, moreover not only in the world of jewelry but present in many artistic typologies, architecture, iconography, poetry, literature etc.

The anthropological and social analysis that reveals the reasons for the trends is interesting...for example the shells, the first ornament of man, which cyclically, but one could say seasonally emerge, heraldry, naturalistic themes, etc.
