Singhasan Battisi is a famous Indian folk literary work, based on the story of the throne of King Vikramaditya, which has 32 statues of angels on it.

When the later king tries to sit on the throne, one of the angel statues on the throne comes to life and explains to the king that it is not only about sitting on this great throne of the great king that will make him the best judge. There are many more superior qualities that are needed which he lacks. The angel tells him one story related to one quality that a best judge must possess and flies away. In the same manner, one after another, the angels tell a story related to a quality and fly away. Thus, all the angels fly away after making the king realize that he does not possess the qualities to make him eligible even to sit on this throne.
